Stapleton is a family-friendly neighborhood in north-east Denver located on the site of the decommissioned Stapleton International Airport, which closed in 1995.
Home to 14 schools and over 20,000 residents, the Stapleton Community is still expanding north of Interstate 70, and its nine neighborhoods are connected to downtown Denver and Denver International Airport by a commuter rail line.
Stapleton neighborhoods were thoughtfully designed, incorporating over 50 community parks, large open spaces, over 38 miles of trails, a 57,000 square foot recreation center, six family friendly neighborhood pools and popular community gardens. Each Stapleton neighborhood has unique home styles - many within a short walk to shops, restaurants and events.
Stapleton celebrates a diverse mix of uses. Many homes have porches, balconies and courtyards that encourage interaction. The Stapleton Master Community puts on year-round community events including Movie Night, the Stapleton Farmers Market, Theater on the Green and Stapleton Rocks. Talk to any resident and they'll tell you: Stapleton offers a unique sense of community.
Shopping and dining centers include: The Shops at Northfield Stapleton, East 29th Avenue Town Center, Quebec Square and seasonal outdoor markets.
